The Role
We are looking for a methodical and trustworthy volunteer to take ownership of our day-to-day financial recording. As a CIC, maintaining clear and accurate financial records is essential for our transparency and social impact reporting. You will work closely with the Founding Director Ryan and the rest of the GoS team to ensure our accounts are up-to-date and reconciled.
Key Responsibilities

Transaction Recording: Accurately logging all income (grants, donations, sales) and expenditure.

Bank Reconciliation: Monthly matching of bank statements against internal records or accounting software.

Invoicing: Raising invoices for services and tracking payments to ensure healthy cash flow.

Expense Management: Reviewing and processing volunteer or staff expense claims in line with our policy.

Financial Reporting: Preparing simple monthly summaries of profit/loss and available restricted funds.
About You

Experience: Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or a finance-heavy administrative role.

Integrity: High level of professional ethics and an understanding of financial confidentiality.

Detail-Oriented: A "keen eye" for spotting discrepancies and ensuring VAT (if applicable) and categories are assigned correctly.
